'Love Is Like a Cocktail' Episode 2 Spoilers: The Mizusawas' Romantic Story Unfolds With Each New Drink in Slice-of-Life Anime
The Mizusawa couple's story of romance and cocktails has begun on the short-form Japanese anime series, "Osake wa Fuufu ni Natte kara (Drinking Is Allowed After Marrying)" or "Love Is Like a Cocktail."
Strait-laced assistant manager Chisato Mizusawa is nothing but a diligent worker and superior who is willing to go into overtime to assist an employee in finishing the day's task. She is an efficient worker with a rather serious demeanor and has always been reluctant to accept invitations to drink out with her colleagues.
It turns out that a drunk Chisato is a much different person and one that she does not want others to see other than her doting husband, Sora Mizusawa.
Sora, on the other hand, seems to be a very calm guy with a cheerful attitude, and a propensity for mixing alcoholic drinks that draw out all the cute, fun, and truest sides of his wife each night.
Fans who are familiar with the manga series has given a friendly warning to viewers who are only getting into the story via the anime adaptation, saying that the series will be all fluff and drinks. Nothing especially complicated is bound to happen and each installment will be an episodic foray into the current relationship of the Sora and Chisato, with a few glimpses into their past thrown in once in a while.
Each episode will also be featuring a new type of cocktail. The ingredients and proper mixing for which will be shown as the romantic story of the Mizusawa couple gradually unfolds.
This week's episode introduced the cocktail drink known as Plum Splet, which is made up of a 1:1 ratio of soda water and umeshu, or Japanese plum wine, with some lemon juice to taste.
"Love Is Like a Cocktail" airs on Tuesdays late night at 1 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and late night at 2 a.m. JST on Sun TV. It is also available on the online video service GYAO! and is also simulcast in regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
