Lucas Till to Reprise Havoc Role in 'X-Men: Apocalypse'

Director Bryan Singer has released news actor Lucas Till will be returning to his role of Havoc in "X-Men: Apocalypse" next year.

American actor, Lucas Till, who played Alex Summers, a.k.a. Havoc in previous Marvel Comics' film adaptations of the mutant superheroes, the "X-Men," will be reprising his character for "X-Men: Apocalypse" when the latest installment of the franchise hits theaters on May 27, 2016.

The film's director Bryan Singer released the news on his Twitter account Sunday as one of the latest pieces of information he has been doling out to fans of the series on the growing ensemble of mutants joining the upcoming film.

Till has previously played Havoc in "X-Men: First Class" in 2011, and again in 2014 for "X-Men: Days of Future Past."

In the comic book versions, Havoc plays the younger brother of Scott Summers, aka Cyclops, and is a mutant who can absorb energy and discharge that energy by shooting concentrated plasma blasts to defeat his enemies.

However, "Apocalypse" will also be featuring Tye Sheridan as a young Cyclops, and fans of the series can expect the two actors aren't going to be portrayed as brothers in the film.

Singer has yet to reveal how much screen time Till will be getting out of his role, and with the considerable number of characters who will be in the movie, speculations are rife it won't be a major part for the "Paranoia" actor.

In the last "X-Men" film appearance, Till was present for a cameo-length time to establish the storyline the US was making use of mutants as test subjects.

Till will be joining a growing cast which recently added Olivia Munn as Psylocke, as well as Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, and Alexandra Shipp as Storm. The original cast of characters will also be returning for the film, including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Evan Peters, and Jennifer Lawrence in her last role as Mystique for the franchise.
