MacBook Pro 2016 News, Release Date & Update: No Announcement at Apple Event 2016; What You Need to Know [RUMORS]

No Mention of MacBook Pro 2016 at Apple Event 2016

There was no mention of the MacBook Pro 2016 at the Apple Event 2016 this week.

The rumors are rife that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have a delayed release in early 2017 instead of this year. Apple is alleged to make the MacBook Pro 2016 more powerful by housing it with Kaby Lake processors, which Intel won't be releasing until the end of this year.

MacBook Pro 2016 Rumored Specs
Business Insider reports that the appearance of the MacBook Pro remain unchanged since its debut in 2009 - well, except for sharper screen resolution, slimmer design and other spec updates. However, Apple may be gearing up to give MacBook Pro a great big boost if the rumors of the Kaby Lake processors are true.

Furthermore, the specs of the MacBook Pro 2016 floating on the internet are varied. The outlet cited Ming Chi Kuo of KGI Securities that the MacBook Pro 2016 will have 13-inch and 15-inch screen variants. The design will be updated too, albeit subtle, which allegedly looks sleeker and even slimmer than the current MacBook Pro laptops out in the market.

It will allegedly have a customizable (depending on the program the user is currently on) OLED bar integrated in the keyboard. This will mean that the "F" keys will be a thing of the past and the OLED bar will serve to replace their functions.

MacBook Pro 2016 Rumors: No MacBook Pro This Year?
Since Apple made no mention of the MacBook Pro 2016 during their event this week and rumors of it being released next year are numerous; it has been largely speculated that it might be revealed by next month. Heavy.com wrote that Apple may be devoting the focus solely on the iPhone 7 during their event instead of the MacBook Pro 2016.

MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Pricing
Tech Radar shares the speculation that there might be a MacBook Pro 2016 release this year, but it may happen in the last few months of the year.

It is predicted that the MacBook Pro 2016 has a price range that starts at $1,099. The device may have a 13-inch non-Retina model that starts at this price, while the 13-inch Retina model may cost $1,119. The 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro 2016 may cost as high as $2,099.

Apple has not made any official statement regarding the MacBook Pro 2016 so all speculations remain as they are unless proven otherwise.
