MacBook Pro 2017 Rumors: New Laptops Not Expected to Show Up Until Latter Half of This Year
Major design changes not expected for this year's MacBook Pro
Last year, Apple introduced people to a significantly redesigned MacBook Pro that came with the new Touch Bar, and it is expected that they will again bring a new MacBook Pro to the market this year.
Still, the people waiting for this new laptop may be better served to settle in for a long wait.
As noted in a recent article from Forbes, it's unlikely that the new laptops will be released so soon given that last year's models are still relatively new to the market.
So when should people expect to see these updated laptops hit the market?
Unlike with their iPhones, Apple is not quite as predictable when it comes to when they come out with their other well-known product offerings, making it difficult to just go by what they have done in years past.
One thing that could factor into when these new laptops will be introduced is related to what they may be able to offer.
Whereas last year's model brought that aforementioned Touch Bar into public view, the 2017 edition of the MacBook Pro is not expected to come with any design change as significant as that one.
Earlier this year, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared in a research note that new Apple laptops this year may feature changes in the form of processor upgrades and changes to their memory configurations.
Kuo specifically mentioned a 15-inch laptop that could come with both the Kaby Lake processor and 32GB of RAM. MacRumors noted that this particular model could turn out to be the new MacBook Pro, but again, with no significant design changes expected, the folks over at Apple may not have a reason to rush these new laptops out.
Kuo added that mass production of this 15-inch model may not start until sometime in September, which serves as just another reason why people should probably not expect to see these new laptops for a while.
More news about this year's MacBook Pro laptops should be made available soon.
