'Mad Men' Season 7 Spoilers: 'There Will Be a New Story'
With the final season of AMC original drama "Mad Men" on the horizon, fans are eager to know what will become of Don Draper, his family, and the rest of the cast. To find out some teasers about the last season of "Mad Men" from show creator Matthew Weiner read on, but be cautious of spoilers.
Weiner has mostly remained fairly tight-lipped about the upcoming season, but it is possible to glean some hints from his comments.
When asked by Wetpaint about season seven of "Mad Men" Weiner revealed a bit about what fans can expect, though he did insist he could not say much.
"I can't tell you anything yet! We just opened the writer's room; it is the last season of the show. I like to tell a new story every year. There will be a new story," Weiner said.
Weiner also spoke about the potential of a guest star in the new season.
"I would like Jack Nicholson to come by and be on the show. He could play the president of anything," the show creator told Wetpaint.
Weiner went on to explain why he is being so secretive about season 7.
"Can I be honest with you? How many things are there in life that you don't know what's going to happen besides your own life? I think it's one of the unique things about the show -- and it's not just a commercial thing at this point -- it's a relationship with the audience, and I really try to keep it under wraps so that people can watch it. ... You know it's hard to be blown away when you know everything that's going to happen. It's super-counterintuitive because people really think that everybody wants to know! When we get closer, I will [talk] more about it thematically," the show creator said.
