'Madam Secretary' News: Episode 10 'Collateral Damage' Recap, Episode 11 Plot Revealed

On the Nov. 23 episode of "Madam Secretary," the State Department goes on lockdown due to a gunman outside the building, and Elizabeth ends up being confined with the delegation from Iraq, which includes a translator who threatens to divulge information about what she's done while she was still with the CIA.

Elizabeth gets to work early and Nadine is surprised to see her there. Nadine says that she knows that Elizabeth is investigating Marsh. She offers to help and when Elizabeth asks why he changed his itinerary, Nadine said that he told her it was family business. Elizabeth asks if it has something to do with his intentions to run for President, and Nadine says that this is a lie and that she can't help in this matter.

Later, Elizabeth is introduced to the Iraqis. She greets the Prime Minister and the rest of the delegation. One of the ministers asks her if she has ever been to Iraq before. She thinks back to when she was in Iraq for the CIA. She lies and says no.

Elizabeth is notified that there's a security alert. A man with a gun is outside the State Department and making trouble. She apologizes to the Iraqis and reassures them that the building is very safe. She asks them to stay until the threat has been lifted. To put them at ease, she speaks a bit of Arabic and the Prime Minister apologizes to her for bringing his translator, since he did not know that she knows how to speak his language.

Later, the translator tells Elizabeth that he saw her in Iraq when his cousin was dragged away by coalition forces. She tells him that if he wants to save his career, he needs to understand that she was never in Iraq.

Elizabeth is given an update about the gunman, and it turns out that his name is Mark and he has a brother who died in Iraq. Later, she tells the translator that his cousin was a mass murderer and that she's glad that she took care of it. She tells him that he can tell anyone what he knows but it won't change policy in Iraq.

After the gunman has been restrained, Elizabeth speaks in Arabic and tells the Iraqis that she hopes they will all be great men and achieve peace someday. They leave and pose for pictures at the White House, and Elizabeth visits the gunman at the hospital.

Meanwhile, here is the synopsis for episode 11 titled "Game On."

"Together, Elizabeth, Henry and Isabelle investigate former Secretary of State Vincent Marsh's secret Venezuelan bank account and soon discover that a member of Elizabeth's staff has access to it."

"Madam Secretary" airs on Sundays at 8/7c on CBS.
