'Madam Secretary' Season 3 Episode 15: Jay Looks Into Kevin's Background

Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) will ask Jay (Sebastian Arcelus) to dig deep into Joseph, aka Kevin Park's (Justin Baldoni), background in the upcoming episode of "Madam Secretary."

In the episode titled "Break in Diplomacy," the synopsis (according to CarterMatt) reveals that the State Department will unite to help Daisy (Patina Miller) in her predicament. The press coordinator was arrested by the FBI last episode. It turned out that her new boyfriend was an undercover agent for the CIA. Daisy found Kevin dead in his office, and the EMT said he died because of a heart attack. Later that night, though, the agents broke into Daisy's house and apprehended her. Kevin did not die a natural death. He was murdered.

When Elizabeth heard the news, she hastened to see Daisy. She learned that Kevin's name was actually Joseph and that he was in a covert operation in the White House. As Kevin's girlfriend, Daisy was one of the people who was in close contact to the deceased.

Elizabeth knows Daisy did not do it and will do her best to prove the latter's innocence. She will task Jay with an important assignment. He must find out as much information as he can about Kevin's connection to the CIA. It looks like Jay will have to put his problems with Abby (Stephanie J. Block) on the backburner for a while.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth has another problem. In the promo, she is shown punching a world leader in the face when he acts inappropriately during their meeting. The Philippine president, Datu Andrada (Joel de la Fuente), has been known for his unconventional ways. While discussing the Asia-Pacific territory treaty with the U.S. State Secretary, he attempts to make a pass, which leads to the punch.

The teasers show Nadine (Bebe Neuwirth) urging her boss to speak about the incident in front of the press. At home, Elizabeth shares her problem with Henry (Tim Daly). She reckons she just busted an important agreement because of her temper.

"Madam Secretary" season 3 airs Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
