Maddie Ziegler News: Former 'Dance Moms' Star Recalls Strangest Gift Received From A Fan

For dancer-actress Maddie Ziegler, being famous came with a price.

The 14-year-old former "Dance Moms" star has already moved on from her reality dance series to appear in multiple projects such as movies, TV shows, books, as well as starring in some of the music videos released by singer Sia.

But according to Ziegler, there are some things about fame that can still shock her, especially when some of her fans give her strange gifts.

"When I was like nine, it was when I first started meeting fans, and [people] started to realize who I was," the young celebrity stated in an interview with Galore magazine as reported by Teen Vogue. "This girl brought me this huge box, and I was like, 'Aw, thanks,' and she goes 'Will you open it right now in front of me?' I was like, 'Yeah, sure.' I opened it and it was this big grandfather clock with my name engraved in it, it was the creepiest thing. It was just weird. Why would you give a grandfather clock to a nine-year-old?"

Meanwhile, reports claimed that Ziegler is trying to put her "Dance Moms" past behind to prevent it from spoiling her up-and-coming career.

According to the report, the young dancer is avoiding to talk much about the Showtime show and commenting about her former mentor Abby Lee Miller who is currently in jail for fraud.

The Abby Lee Dance Company (ALDC) owner and main choreographer is currently under a lot of bad publicity at the moment, and being associated with her could hurt Ziegler's reputation.

Ziegler and her younger sister Mackenzie had been part of "Dance Moms" since its first season, and she was considered as one of the top students of ALDC until they decided to call it quits at the end of season 6.

The young dancer is currently working on a new project with Sia and actress Kate Hudson.
