'Made in Abyss' Episode 13 Spoilers: True Foes and Allies to Be Revealed in Upcoming One-Hour Finale?
The special one-hour finale episode is coming, and it seems that things are about to get even more complicated on the Japanese fantasy anime series "Made in Abyss."
As the previous episode revealed, the Curse of the Abyss' effect reaches far beyond the hole in the ground itself. Back in Orth, a mysterious trend dubbed as the Birthday Death Disease has just begun to plague the town and even got Kiyui from the orphanage sick. However, just when Jirou took him to the caravan fleet offshore for medical attention, Kiyui was feeling better again.
It was the doctor who suggested that the Curse of the Abyss might have had something to do with what's been happening. How will Jirour take this possibility, especially since Riko and Reg have not yet returned from their journey down to the bottommost layer of the mysterious Abyss?
On the other hand, Reg learned from Nanachi that the so-called Curse was actually all around them and has already embedded itself in the air. Also, many of the monsters in the Abyss, especially the orb piercer, could actually predict the future because they could also see the Curse and could thus predict their prey's next move based on it.
This has given Reg a much better understanding of his enemies and was thus able to chase off an orb piercer who was attacking yet another cave raider. However, his celebratory mood was cut short when upon reuniting with Nanachi, he was requested by the latter to kill the shapeless Hollow, Mitty.
What could the reason be behind this sudden and shocking request? Why would Nanachi want Mitty dead when all Mitty seems to want is to be close to Riko. Fans are even speculating that the Hollow may have already forged quite a connection with the unconscious girl and could possibly be communicating something significant with her.
And despite everything that she has done for them, is Nanachi really on Riko and Reg's side, and is Mitty is the real enemy? Or will it turn out to be the other way around?
Questions will be answered as the series airs its special one-hour finale this week, and fans can hardly wait.
