Madonna Nude Stunt on MDNA Tour: Is Mother of 4 Going Too Far?

Madonna flashed the crowd at her concert stop in Istanbul, Turkey Thursday night, making it clear that the "wardrobe malfunction" was anything but. The mother of four's raunchy performance has some wondering if she is taking things too far.

Madonna was performing her 1995 hit "Human Nature" on her latest MDNA tour stop when she began a risqué striptease. While fans had seen worse from the 53-year-old during her 30 years performing, the singer shocked the audience by exposing her right breast for nearly a second.

While many were appalled, other concertgoers shouted their approval for the lewd stunt. Madonna then showed her back to the crowd- plainly visible was a false "NO FEAR" tattoo emblazoned in bold block letters.

What is more confusing is that the mother of four decried "wardrobe malfunctions" and other attention-grabbing antics several months ago. The rock star promised fans there would be no Janet Jackson-esque behavior at her Super Bowl Half Time show performance.

"You don't have to show your nipples to be interesting, and it doesn't necessarily mean you're cutting-edge if you do," Madonna said, referring to Jackson's infamous pasty fiasco in 2004.

Despite earlier promises, Madonna's MDNA tour continues to garner a reputation of coarse and offensive content. Before the latest flash in Turkey, Madonna showed a picture of a swastika on French politician Le Pen's face. Le Pen vowed to sue the singer if she did the same in France.

"We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes," she told The Daily Mail. "If she does that in France, we'll be waiting."

Others dismissed Madonna's stunts as vulgar attempts to court media attention as well.

"The real news here is that Madonna is still performing! Who knew? Apparently she has to resort to stunts like this for publicity! So sad," wrote Adrian Slew on The Hollywood Reporter blog.

"It's still quite sad that any 53 year old woman would feel she has to do that for publicity," responded David. "It is also quite disgraceful for her children to have her as a role model."
