'Mafia 3' Release Date and Update: New Trailer, Cars and Music
The third installment of the action-adventure video game "Mafia" is still months away from its release but fans who are looking forward to picking it up already know that it will be worth the wait especially now that some of the details of the game are now out in the open. According to a report by University Herald, "Mafia 3" is going to be a video game with deluxe edition and collector edition packages.
Developer Hangar 13 and publisher 2K Games already released a gameplay trailer to bring up the hype while waiting for it to be launched on Oct. 7 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Mac OS. The trailer featured a look into the open world adventure, flaunting its impressive graphics and gruesome kills.
It also gave a sneak peek of its new fictional place called the New Bordeaux, which is pretty much inspired by New Orleans as noted in Independent. Set in the 1960's, "Mafia 3" follows the playable character Lincoln Clay who is out to seek revenge for his family who was murdered by the Italian mob. Having just returned from the Vietnam War, Lincoln is going to make a lot of chaos.

The official website of the game wrote: "Lincoln's path of revenge is a vicious storm that twists its way through the districts of the fine southern city. Utilising tactics and training learned during his time in Vietnam, Lincoln's war against the Italian Mob is a military-grade one-way road."
PlayStation Lifestyle detailed that gamers will be able to drive a variety of cars in the game. Some of it include muscle cars and military vehicles. Players are told by producer Andy Wilson that each car in the game will have its own uniqueness but what they should not expect a driving "sim" experience.
Moreover, "Mafia 3" will be featuring some of the great music from the era as well. Game Spot reported that Hangar 13 did not reveal yet the full music list but it will include famous songs like "All Along the Watchtower," "House of the Rising Sun," "Son of a Preacher Man," "Paint It Black" and "Fortunate Son."
