'Major Crimes' Season 5 Episode 21: Squad Plays Hide and Seek With a Terrorist

Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and her team will race against time to stop another explosion from happening in the upcoming episode of "Major Crimes."

In the episode titled "Shockwave Part 2," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that the unit will finally get information about the bomber. They now know who he is and where to find him. Unfortunately, the criminal is one step ahead of them. He has already set his eyes on his next victim. Sharon and the others will find themselves in a difficult situation, trying to guess who the killer will go after next. As far as they are concerned, the man has a grudge to settle with almost all of the squad members. Who is his next target?

Last episode, the criminal has proven that he was a vindictive monster. He has no problem killing people, even innocent kids, just to show how superior he is. He set off two explosions that killed many cops. The last scene shows the beginning of another blast. Viewers caught a glimpse of Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) and Flynn (Tony Denison) before the episode ended. Could one of them be the bomber's target?

Sharon's team could have stopped the bloodshed faster if Winnie Davis (Camryn Manheim) did not veto all of their plans. The Deputy Chief of Operations was determined to stop Sharon from getting the promotion. Winnie wanted Russell Taylor's (Robert Gossett) position for herself, by hook or by crook. She did not care if she was impeding justice from being served as long as she could get what she wanted.

Meanwhile, Rusty and Gus (Rene Rosado) fought again. The latter wanted them to move to Napa Valley because of his work. Since Rusty just scored a job with the ADA, he said he did not want to.

"Major Crimes" season 5 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on TNT.
