Man Arrested After Body of 15-Year-Old Nichole Cable Reportedly Found
Nichole Cable went missing on Mother's Day, and police believe they have her murderer in custody. A body found yesterday is being tested to see if it is in fact Cable's body.
Kyle Dube, 20, was charged with the murder of 15-year-old Nichole after turning himself in on May 17. He was wanted on other unrelated charges, but police believe he met and killed Cable after meeting her through Facebook. Cable left home on May 12 to meet someone she had "friended" on Facebook but had never met in person.
Police found a body yesterday that seemed to match the description of Cable's body. They held a press conference yesterday to announce that the body had been found, and that the Cable family had been notified. The medical examiner has not released any information about the condition of the body or whether there was a positive identification.

"They're still processing the scene," Mark Belserene, a spokesman for the medical examiner's office said yesterday at the press conference. "The plan is to do the autopsy today, if possible."
"This initially started as a missing person's case and sadly it's transitioned to a homicide investigation," Penobscot County Sheriff Glenn Ross told the press.
Cable's family, friends, and volunteers from the community all joined in the search for the girl. Police found the body using a helicopter and several K-9 units.
Cable's mother, Kristine Wiley, told parents that they needed to be very observant of their children's online activity.
"If this saves somebody else's child, then this won't have happened for nothing," she told The Bangor Daily News. "She was so loving, she was so trusting. There's no evil in the world when you're 15."
"No matter how upset kids get with the invasion of privacy," parents should always monitor and have access to their kids' social media accounts, added Cable's stepfather, Jason Wiley.
Dube has a criminal record stemming from when he was 17 and led police on a chase that reached speeds of 150 miles per hour. In 2011, he was convicted of carrying a loaded firearm or crossbow in a vehicle; in 2012, he was convicted of theft and received a $500 fine.
