Man Beating 'Amish Mafia' Star Admits to Crime, Sentenced to 3 Years Probation

The man accused of beating "Amish Mafia" star Esther Schmucker has admitted to the crime and was released from prison on bail. Imir R. Williams was sentenced to three years' probation and ordered not to have any contact with Schmucker or the witness who tried to intervene on her behalf.

Schmucker and Williams were allegedly dating at the time of the incident, which took place on Oct. 31. According to reports, Williams struck her so hard that he broke her nose, teeth, and cheekbones. Schmucker had already filed three protection-from-abuse orders but never followed up in court, leading all three of the orders to be dismissed.

"He told me he will chop me into pieces and throw me in the garbage can. He told me multiple times that he is going to kill me and that he just has to figure out how to do it," Schmucker wrote in her request for protection.

She never spoke out about the abuse, which her roommate said was due to the fact that Williams "would not leave her side for three days, like he was guarding her," she told Lancaster Online.

Schmucker did appear in court for the plea hearing and was upset that Williams was not charged with a harsher crime or given a stronger sentence. Yet Williams spent nearly two months in prison, which is one full month more than the standard sentence for the misdemeanor counts of assault and stalking.

Judge Dennis Reinaker reportedly read Williams the riot act and lectured him for his foul behavior against a woman, especially one Schmucker's size. She is rather small compared to Williams' 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame. Williams assured the court that he has no plans to reconcile with Schmucker or be around her again.

Schmucker, known simply as "Esther" on "Amish Mafia" is known for playing the feisty female lead. Yet it appears that in real life she is a bit more demure. Critics have often complained that the show has no basis in reality and is simply another scripted "reality" series.
