It has been an up-and-down season for the Red Devils so far in the campaign but they have a chance to finish fifth in the league if they get a point against Bournemouth.
In their final matches of the English Premier League season, Manchester United play at home as they host AFC Bournemouth at Old Trafford in game week 38. The matchup is on May 17, 2016 at 3 p.m. ET.
It has been an up-and-down season for the Red Devils so far in the campaign but they have a chance to finish fifth in the league if they get a point against Bournemouth.
At the moment, the Red Devils are sixth in the league with 63 points, tied with Southampton at the moment.
However, they still have this game to play while Southampton already concluded their season and at least a point will see Manchester secure the UEFA Europa League spot for next year.
On the other hand, AFC Bournemouth are not fighting for much at the moment as they are in the second half of the table.
At the 16tth spot, they have 42 points and are safe from the relegation zone. They are five points clear off the bottom three spots with Newcastle United occupying the 18th zand 37 points.
Given that they are one of two teams left with a game left, then they cannot get lower on the standings.
Looking at their form, United have only lost once in their last five league games - but it came in their most recent battle against West Ham United.
Against the current champions, Leicester City, United held their own with a 1-1 draw so it should help them do well against a bottom-half team.
On the other hand, Bournemouth have only won once in their last seven league games and are winless in their last four. Their last game was a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion.
Looking at their first game earlier in the year, AFC Bournemouth has a slight advantage with a 2-1 win over United.
