Everton will look to continue their good form when they travel to Old Trafford to face a mid-table Manchester United team still looking to find an identity under manager David Moyes.
Everton enters the match having soundly beaten Stoke City 4-0 over the weekend and one week after a convincing 3-3 draw against Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby.
The seven goals in the first two fixtures have been spurred by Romelu Lukaku after two straight nil-nil draws against Crystal Palace and Tottenham, respectively. Still, questions regarding if Everton can beat big clubs away has some fans nervous.
"Over the last 10 years we have not beaten Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool at their grounds and we need to address that. We need to make sure we are ourselves. We need to know how we are going to play and who we are. We are excited about going to Old Trafford," Everton manager Roberto Martinez told reporters during a press conference.
For United manager David Moyes, the match offers him the first chance to face his former club, but he may have to do so without his top scorer.
Manchester United drew 2-2 with Tottenham at White Hart Lane one week after a 1-1 draw with Cardiff and an impressive 1-0 victory over league leaders Arsenal. However, with Robin van Persie sidelined, Wayne Rooney has been called upon to find results for the mid-table club.
"I'm concerned we're not as close as we'd like to be [to Arsenal] but it's a long season and hopefully we'll be there or thereabouts. There are a lot of games to go. I think the Premier League is tight and we'll try to stay on the shirt-tails and put ourselves in a good position at the start of next year," Moyes told reporters during a press conference.
Kickoff for the match is at 2:45 ET and can be watched online here.
