The Hammers are third with 20 points and the Red Devils are fourth with 19. A win for United may see them on top of the table depending on the goal difference as they are level on points with Arsenal, while a City win will see them with sole possession of the top spot.
United have been excellent so far in the English Premier League.
They have won four of their last five matches and have only lost to Arsenal in that stretch.
The streak gave them big wins over Liverpool, Southampton and most recently Everton.
United are now trying to beat City before they go on a stretch of playing teams lower than them in the standings.
On the other hand, City are struggling but their last two results may suggest that they are back on track.
They lost Sergio Aguero due to injury but it does not seem to stop them from scoring loads of goals in their last two games.
City lost back-to-back games against West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur, but rebounded with big victories over Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth.
In those two wins, City scored six and five goals, respectively, while only allowing the opposition to get one goal past them in each game.
And with their blistering form, the timing is perfect as they prepare to travel to Old Trafford.
