Manny Pacquiao Next Fight News: Chris Algieri Preview
The Manny Pacquiao vs. Chris Algieri fight on Nov. 22 this year is finalized. The world's one and only eight-division title holder, who will turn 36 in December, is set to face 30-year old Chris Algieri in China.
In an interview with Newsday.com, Algeiri, despite having less ring experience compared to Pacquiao, is confident that he will triumph over the Filipino boxing champ.
He says in this match with Pacquiao, he will bring in a new style that Pacquiao has not been faced with before inside the ring over the previous five to eight years. While Pacquaio fought with different opponents, the fighting styles these opponents used are not that much distinct from each other, Algeiri claims.
A recently released fight prediction of Pacquiao's next match against Algeiri states that there is a lot of variables to consider in this upcoming match and the boxer's contrasting fighting styles are but one.
The 5-inch height difference (Algieri is 5'11 while Pacquiao is 5'6) is another factor. Algeiri's lack of ring experience, which is in contrast to Pacquiao's extensive fight resume, is yet another factor.
What will give Algieri edge over Pacquiao then? And what will be Pacquiao's edge over the much younger and taller Algieri?
That is something that everyone is yet to watch out for so better mark the date early – Nov. 22, 2014. The two boxers will face off in Macao, China but the fight will be aired on HBO PPV.
