Manny Pacquiao vs. Amir Khan fight news 2015: Bob Arum denies fight deal has been completed

Top Rank Promotions head honcho Bob Arum is not pleased with reports about the alleged completion of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Amir Khan fight deal.

On Tuesday, Jeff Powell of The Daily Mail released a report, stating that Khan had already signed the deal to fight his former sparring partner on April 9th in Las Vegas. The fighter's father, Shah, corroborated it all by saying: "Our paperwork went off to Arum on Friday and every point is covered."

Powell adds that the Khan camp actually has a "Plan B" if the Pacquiao deal falls through. Again, the statement came from Shah Khan.

"We have been here before, with Mayweather so while we are confident the contract will be back with us in the next few days we are holding the second Saturday in January as a fall back date for an alternative fight," the elder Khan claimed.

It did not take long before the said report reached Arum, and his response was not very pleasing. In a report by Boxingscene.com, the 83-year old veteran promoter was fuming mad when he found out about the news.

"It's total bullsh*t. It's complete bullsh*t," Arum said. "I'm sitting here trying to figure a way to sell tickets to my fight [Saturday in Las Vegas between Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios] and now my phone is ringing off the hook because this lunatic made some sh*t up."

Pacquiao has been preparing himself for what he says is his final fight before putting all his efforts to become a full-time public servant in the Philippines. Currently a Congressman of the Sarangani Province in the Southern region of the country, the first and only eight-division world champion is eyeing for a Senatorial seat through the May 2016 Philippine Elections.

According to Arum and the Pacquiao camp, the final fight date would be on April 9th, 2016.
