Margot Robbie on When She Will Be Back As Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn has never been as popular as when she was featured in the 2016 movie "Suicide Squad." Since the movie was released, fans have been wondering when actress Margot Robbie will suit up as the female supervillain again.

Recently, Robbie has revealed she will return as Harley Quinn, though she could not say which of the movies in the pipeline that feature her character will be the first to bring her back to the big screen. According to the actress, future movies where she will appear as the supervillain include the sequel to the first "Suicide Squad" movie, "Gotham City Sirens" and another movie starring Harley and Joker.

While Robbie is not very certain about her upcoming film schedule yet, she said she might be heading back to the DC Universe in 2018.

"I think next year I'll be back in the fishnets [and] wielding a baseball bat," she told The Wrap at the Toronto International Film Festival.

When asked if the appearance would be for her character's movie with Joker, however, Robbie admitted that was something she was not yet sure of.

"Your guess is as good as mine at this point. I don't know," she said.

Robbie's uncertainty about her next appearance in a DC movie as Harley is possibly because of Warner Bros.' recent announcement that it was working on a Joker and Harley Quinn movie. Prior to that statement, the studio also revealed that a Joker origin movie was in the works but would not bring Robbie and Jared Leto as Harley and Joker, respectively.

While Robbie will not be part of the Joker origin movie, fans will see her in "Gotham City Sirens," which will be led by Harley. The actress also assured fans that once the production for the sequel to the first "Suicide Squad" movie takes off, she will suit up again as the fan-favorite character. In the DC Universe, Harley is the former Arkham Asylum psychiatrist who came under the spell of Joker.
