Marin from 'Link's Awakening' to arrive with 'Hyrule Warriors: Legends' DLC Pack 2

Nintendo America has revealed that Marin from "Link's Awakening" will be added as a playable character in "Hyrule Warriors: Legends." Marin will be included in the game's DLC Pack 2.

The company confirmed Marin during the "Hyrule Warriors: Legends" panel held at WonderCon in Los Angeles. The DLC character was subsequently announced on social media via Nintendo America's official Twitter account.

Marin is a red-haired singer that first appeared in "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening," which was released in 1993 for the Game Boy. She was also featured in "Super Smash Bros. Melee" as a trophy, so her inclusion in "Hyrule Warriors: Legends" marks the first time she is a playable character.

In addition to Marin, the DLC Pack 2 for the game's 3DS version will also include a new weapon for Linkle, a new Adventure Mode map with two new challenge battle scenarios, and 16 new "My Fairy" costume pieces. Meanwhile, the Wii U version will feature Marin and Linkle's new weapon.

"Hyrule Warriors: Legends" DLC Pack 2, which is a "Link's Awakening"-themed expansion pack, is slated to release sometime in summer 2016. The add-on content will be available for both the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

The pack can be purchased at a discounted price through the season pass or individually. The "Hyrule Warriors: Legends" Season Pass grants access to multiple DLCs, of which the Link's Awakening Pack is the second one for the 3DS version and the first one for the Wii U version. The Master Wind Waker Pack will coming in late spring 2016 for the 3DS version exclusively. The DLC Pack 2 will be followed by Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks Pack that will release in the fall and finally A Link Between Worlds Pack that will launch in winter 2016.
