Mark Wahlberg News: Actor Spotted as a Cop in 2016 Boston Marathon Finish Line
This year's Boston Marathon has attracted many people around the country not only to become part of the event but to honor the lives of the people lost during 2013's bombings and as expected, Mark Wahlberg was seen dressed as a cop at the finish line.
According to ABC News, Wahlberg was spotted early Monday morning dressed up as a police officer as he filmed for a particular scene for "Patriots Day," the upcoming movie that will entail the events that went down in 2013's Boston Marathon.
Fans and bystanders saw the actor walking around the finish line with camera following him. The 44-year-old actor walked casually around the area, seemingly checking around if everything was well on site.

At one point, he was spotted answering a phone call while strolling and he also chatted with other police officers as shooting went on.
The Washington Post notes that Wahlberg's presence at the annual marathon might have been a little too much for some. The 2013 bombings have largely become a part of every Boston native and for some time, the upcoming movie received some critical reviews even before production started as some questioned if the film will successfully pull of a rather emotional story.
On the other hand, production went to the location earlier before elite participants were expected to flood into the event. There were also not too many people in the site when shooting started.
Last month, the "Transformers" star shared his insights about the comments of some people regarding the film's alleged exploitative and indifferent motives. "There's huge pressure to get this right, but we're committed to doing that," Wahlberg told the Boston Globe.
Director Peter Berg also clarified that his team understands the concerns of some people who might see the movie in a negative point of view. "We're aspiring for real authenticity so that means filming in real locations. We will always ask and we will always be transparent with what our ask is. If there's one person who's uncomfortable, we're more than happy to go elsewhere," he explained.
"Patriots Day" is slated for release sometime in January 2017.
