'Marlon' Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 9 and 10 Synopses Released
When "Marlon" season 1 returns for its final two episodes this week, viewers will see the divorced couple try to act like they are still together in front of other people and then reminisce what went down on their first date.
In episode 9 titled "Appropriate Marlon," Ashley (Essence Atkins) will want to become a member of an exclusive social club. However, the said club prefers only couples to join. So, to help her get in, Marlon (Marlon Wayans) is going to accompany his ex-wife and try to act as appropriately as possible in front of the other club members.
The question is: could he last long in pretense?

Marlon's friend, Stevie (Diallo Riddle), will also be with them, together with Ashley's sister, Yvette (Bresha Webb). While there are some concerns about Marlon, they will be surprised at how easily Stevie blends in among the club's wealthy clientele.
Meanwhile, in episode 10 titled "End of the Road," which is also the season finale, the divorced couple will remember how their first date went, with each one having different recollections of what happened. This stems from their first wedding anniversary since they legally separated.
Episodes 9 and 10 of "Marlon" season 1 will air back-to-back on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
There is no word from the network yet about the renewal of the sitcom for another season. However, given the impressive ratings for its freshman season, as reported by TVLine, there is a possibility for more episodes of "Marlon" to come.
Last week, the sitcom reportedly garnered over five million viewers for episode 7, which is one of their highest viewership to date, and over 3 million viewers for episode 8.
"Marlon" is co-created by Wayans and Christopher Moynihan. Apart from the already mentioned cast members, it also stars Notlim Taylor as Marley Wayne and Amir O'Neil as Zack Wayne, the children of Marlon and Ashley.
