'Married at First Sight' News: Things Get Rough for Two Couples

Marriage is usually a happy theme not only for two lovers but also for their families who gather around them. But for those who tie the knot in the instant that they meet, this is a rather odd proposition that raises eyebrows yet at the same time arouses interest. This is the very concept of "Married at First Sight," and things are not as fairy-tale-like as one would hope to be.

One of the couples, Andrew and Cheryl, are having a really tough time with the folks. Cheryl's dad, Hamish, was not one for sweet talking and directly told Andrew that he doesn't like him. "I'm done with this bonding — get out, mate," Hamish said.

This incident was something Cheryl described as his dad being "a little extreme," which was actually too much of an understatement. This was a situation that Andrew didn't want to be in, and so he began to put some distance between him and Hamish, and ultimately Cheryl. "There's another unit available, so I'm thinking I'll go stay there for a bit to give each of us some space," he says.

Meanwhile, another couple is treading through rough waters. Nadia is asking for a morsel of compassion after her partner Anthony called her "frigid" on TV. On her Instagram post, she mentioned, "Be a voice for those who don't have a voice #IWantASweeterSociety #compassion #kindness #humanity #9married (sic)."

It appears that Anthony was offended by her tactless remarks about her past relationships during a dinner date.

"It's not that I don't have option, I have options. But do I want to settle down with a 25-year-old? Not really," Nadia said. "Do I want to wake up in two years with them leaving because they're not ready to commit? Guys will tell you anything they want to get what they want."

At this point, Anthony had enough of her blabbering and said he didn't need to hear those, and that it's her fault for choosing poorly. He ended his rant by saying, "For lack of a better word, you've been frigid."

Will they ever reconcile? Things are looking bleak, but fans will have to wait when "Married at First Sight" returns in Australia on March 4, Sunday at 7:00 p.m. AEDT (3:00 a.m. ET) on Channel Nine.
