'Married at First Sight the First Year' season 2 spoilers: Fan favorites from season 1 return
FYI's reality show "Married at First Sight" is an experimental show that matches two strangers with the help of two experts. The show has a spin-off called "Married at First Sight the First Year," which chronicles the first year of marriage of the matched couples.
The show "Married at First Sight" had declined significantly during its second season, and until now, there is still no word on whether or not the reality show will be renewed for a third season. In an effort to save the franchise, the producers have decided to bring back two couples from the first season of "Married at First Sight."
Jason Carrion-Cortney Hendrix and Doug Hehner-Jamie Otis will be back for another season of "Married at First Sight the First Year," which will continue to follow their lives as they enter into their second year of marriage and experience the trials and tribulations of being married.
The new season will bring the fans closer to their favorite couples since they will be tackling home renovations, talking about future children and one of them will be reconnecting with a long-lost relative.
However, both couples were both very excited and nervous when they heard that the spin-off show has been renewed for another season. Jamie Otis revealed that she and her husband Doug Hehner both had second thoughts about doing the show again, but in the end, they decided to go through with it since they have reached a point where they need help. She went on to explain that she and her husband are going through a difficult time and that they have no idea where to turn to. But nonetheless, she is excited to share her life once more with the fans.
Neph Rodriquez will also have a big part in the upcoming season since he will start dating again after his divorce.
"Married at First Sight the First Year" season 2 will premiere on Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. on FYI.
