Recurring guest stars from the last two seasons also returned for Season 3, including Toya's husband, Dr. Eugene Harris, Dr. Jackie's spouse, Curtis Walters, Quad's husband, Gregory Lunceford, and Dr. Simone's other half, Cecil Whitmore.

Kari's husband, Dr. Duncan Wells left the show after Season 1, followed by Mariah's husband, Dr. Aydin Huq who left after Season 2, but continued to guest star in several episodes when Season 3 started to air.

While there have been no new characters for Season 3, Dr. Heavenly's husband, Dr. Damon Kimes, and Lisa Nicole's spouse, Dr. Darren Naugles, count as newcomers to the show, having been introduced in Season 2.

Toya's friend, Jill Connors, who guest starred beginning Season 2, now has a recurring role in the present Season.

"Married to Medicine" follows the lives of seven women from the medical community in Atlanta, three of whom are doctors, with the rest married to doctors themselves. The show focuses on how they balance their married lives and careers with their families and social circles.

In the third season, audiences witnessed the lines begin to blur between the women's professional and personal lives, with health buff Dr. Jackie starting a fitness program, but having to deal with a family member who falls ill. Dr. Simone, who has a booming practice, has to face her past and anger issues, while dentist, Dr. Heavenly feels pressured when her husband demands she spend more time at home.

On the other hand, Toya wants to prove she is more than just a doctor's wife, helping husband Eugene improve his medical concierge business, and when Quad and Lisa do background checks on one another, revealing information leaves them shocked and at a loss.

The show's couples are due to depart for a vacation in the Bahamas in Episode 14, titled "Bahamania," that's due to air on Bravo this Sunday, September 13, 9/8 CT.
