Marvel News: Tweets, Hashtags Can Land A Fan A Cameo In 'Avengers: Infinity War' Movies
There's good news for all Marvel fans who are fond of using Twitter as Marvel has announced that using any of the specified hashtag phrases in tweets could give fans a rare chance of appearing in the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity" movies.
ComicBook has reported that in order for individuals to qualify in their bid to earn a cameo role in the movies, they must have a Twitter account and they need to use the Avengers Twitter emoji (hashflags) released by the company and form their own "Civil War team." The tweets using the emojis should also be accompanied by the hashtags "#TeamCapSweepstakes" or "#TeamIronManSweepstakes," depending on their preference between the two Avengers characters. More details can be found via Marvel.
In order to ensure the contest will be fair and square to interested applicants, Marvel has limited the entries to one person/Twitter account only. This eliminates the possibility for people with multiple Twitter accounts to have the upper hand. Those who plan to enter the contest using multiple accounts may find themselves disqualified.
Apart from the rare chance of appearing in the movies, the winner of the contest, which ends on Feb. 14, will also be treated to a three-night trip in Atlanta for two in November or December later this year or in another location where his non-speaking role for "Avengers:Infinity" will be filmed. The winner will also receive a gift certficate worth $ 500.
Meanwhile, Geek has reported that the upcoming "Captain America: Civil War" movie will feature major deaths. Many fans have already debated online whether Captain America will suffer the same fate that he had in the comic books.
Geek has further learned from a source that the production has already tapped actor Sebastian Stan to don the new Captain America costume. In the comic books, the character of Bucky Barnes assumed the role of Captain America after Steve Rogers is killed.
"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled to hit US theaters on May 6, 2016. Meanwhile, "Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled for a 2018 release.
