'Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite' Gameplay News: Capcom Releases Update, Three New Characters
Capcom recently made the latest game update available for "Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite." Meanwhile, the developer has also released three new playable characters for the crossover fighting game.
The patch released this week brought fixes and improvements, for the most part, for the game mechanics as well as fighting characters.
In the General section of the patch notes, Capcom confirmed that several changes would be applied on the fighters. For example, a number of them will now be able to recover while in the air. This will affect fighters and their moves such as Dante's Bee Hive; Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick, Kikosho, and Hoyokusen; Chris' Sweep Combo; and Doctor Strange's Bolts of Balthakk.
Meanwhile, the recent patch also included game fixes, such as one that dealt with a bug that prevented players from blocking " during the last frame of crouching block recovery." Capcom also addressed an issue that caused connection problems when a player in an online match successfully performed several grabs.
Capcom reminded players that the general fixes and improvements from the recent patch went live on Oct. 16 for the PlayStation 4 and PC. However, Xbox One users will have to wait for them at a later and still unspecified schedule.
On the other hand, every "Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite" player received patches focused on game characters as soon as the updates were released this week.
A bug that forced Dante's position to change when taking damage during Tempest has been fixed. More updates were applied on Captain America, with some of them include fixing bugs that made his backflips invincible without the shield and caused him not to face the opponent when players were about to use Charging Star and Hyper Charging Star.
Capcom has also fixed several reported bugs that caused Dormammu and Doctor Strange to malfunction during matches.
Meanwhile, also happening this week is the release of new downloadable characters, namely Black Panther, Sigma and Monster Hunter. However, these fighters are not for free and will cost $8 individually.
On the other hand, players who previously purchased the 2017 Character Pass will get these fighters at no extra cost.
