'Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite' News: Monster Hunter Shown Using Different Weapons in New Gameplay Trailer
Monster Hunter will use melee and ranged weapons in the game
A character known simply as Monster Hunter is one of the post-launch roster additions coming to "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite," and she is one fearsome fighter.
Unlike many of the members of the roster, Monster Hunter does not really possess any kind of special powers.
That said, she has other things that serve to make her a more than worthy addition to the roster.
Developers previewed Monster Hunter in a new gameplay trailer. And right away, viewers will likely notice that she uses more than just one weapon in combat.
To start, she was shown holding what looked like a great sword, but once the fight got underway, she attacked first using a bow and arrow. She then quickly transitioned to wielding dual blades and proceeded to land a combo on her opponent.
Those were the three weapon types Monster Hunter featured in the trailer, though it would not be surprising if she had a wider arsenal.
The "Monster Hunter" franchise is famous for giving players different weapon types to play around with. Some of these are relatively easy to master while other can be hard to use properly even after hours of practice.
Fans would likely love it if "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's" Monster Hunter also had access to more than three weapon types, but thus far, that remains unconfirmed.
Some background details about Monster Hunter were also provided by the developers. In the game, the individual who went by the name Monster Hunter was selected as the right-hand of Black Panther, another of the game's post-launch downloadable content characters.
Monster Hunter, Black Panther and the other heroes in the game will all be working together to bring down the scourge that is Ultron Sigma.
An exact arrival date for Monster Hunter has not been shared yet, though she is expected to be made available to "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite" players before the end of the year.
