Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Cast News, Update: Chloe Bennet Shares In-Depth Details of Her Transformed Character
The upcoming third season of ABC's hit crime-fighting drama TV series "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will see some huge changes especially for Chloe Bennet's character who will now be known by her real name, Daisy Johnson, Marvel Comic's Quake.
During the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills, California, this week, Bennet revealed a handful of details about her transition to becoming an Inhuman and how her newly-discovered capabilities will help introduce the Secret Warriors into the series as well as into the MCU.
Bennet discussed Skye's major transformation in depth and the impact it is expected to bring in Season 3.
"I think once they see her in the setting, she's different but she's as much different as Skye in Season 1 was from Skye in Season 2. She's just more that way. She's slowly transitioning. The short hair definitely — people really liked my long hair. So did I, but we wanted to … She's kind of no nonsense now and shorter hair makes more sense for that," she said.
The 23-year-old star also talked about being in two teams, which will now be S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Secret Warriors.
"She's as loyal to the Inhumans as she is to SHIELD. But she's really about making them work together. It's about making it a collaborative effort," Bennet explained.
The actress went on to tease about a possible disagreement between Lincoln (Like Mitchell) and Daisy but then there would be something that will hinder it to happen.
"He feels differently about what he believes Inhumans' part should be in society. It's going to be a little struggle between two characters, between both of them to come to terms with what they both think about Inhumans roles in society should be. But then there's obviously an attraction there and they both like each other so that may get in the way," she said.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 3 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
