As far as this season revealed, Malick still hasn't seen Hive's true form since he brought back the ex-agent. To recuperate and heal its rotting body, it has to devour on humans. The clip did hinted that Hive is now more than ready to take on the task as he begins to transform himself to his true form. Malick, in the sideline, watches as the evil he created and nurtured unfolds in front of him.

The Hydra leader, meanwhile, has some issues to face in the segment. The Futon Critic's synopsis referred to a "shameful secret from Malick's past" that will be exposed and will consequently threaten his place in the criminal organization.

Elsewhere in SHIELD, Coulson will orient the squad about Ward's new identity.

"This is not Ward," he told everyone. "It's a parasite that retains the memory of the body it takes over."

In the video, May also sought to confirm if Coulson did kill Ward to which the latter said he did.

"But you didn't kill him hard enough," Agent May quipped.
