'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Tips and Tricks: Things to Consider While Playing BioWare's Game

The reaction to the release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has been mixed, to say the least, with greatly varied reviews from both critics and users. And because the game only recently arrived, a lot of players have been struggling to get the hang of it. Here are a few tips and tricks to adopt for better gameplay.

First of all, choosing a character is very important. As Forbes' Paul Tassi points out, some of the animations did not flow very well when he chose Sarah Ryder as his character. Animation is something that has been greatly criticized about the game, with most reviews citing it as an eyesore.

Since "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is an open world game, players have the ability to explore the other planets that are found in it. However, the first two planets, Tassi explains, are not the best. This may discourage some players from continuing, but it is worth going forward and moving on.

When it comes to battle, the most important thing to remember is to take cover. Tom's Guide points out that seeking cover from attacks will increase the chances of getting out alive since it is fairly easy to get killed in the game. Exploring the different skill options in the game is also crucial since a wide range of them is offered. Profiles are likewise significant because it allows for different play styles.

Communication with crew members also goes a long way in this game. And while some of them were initially annoying, their value will become apparent in the long run. It is also important to keep in mind that loot containers come in all forms and shapes in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and they may be harder to find since they are not always situated in plain sight.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" was released on March 21. User scores have been quite low, with a 4.3 rating on Metacritic as of writing. Critic scores are more positive, though.
