'Master of None' Latest News: Season 2 Premiere Date Confirmed; Teaser Released

Netflix recently revealed that Aziz Ansari's hit series "Master of None" will be returning for its second season this May.

"Master of None" season 2 will deliver 10 episodes just like its first season, and all of them will be available for streaming at the same time on Friday, May 12. A brief teaser for the upcoming season of the comedy series has also been released.

Based on the comedic viewpoint of Ansari, the series follows the personal as well as professional lives of Dev (Ansari), a 30-year-old actor in New York who has a hard time figuring out what he wants to eat, especially what he plans to do for the rest of his life. As he journeys through life, he is exposed to the most diverse subjects such as the plight of the elderly, the immigrant experience and finding the most delicious pasta for dinner.

By the end of season 1, Dev finally reached the decision to fly to Italy and professionally learn how to make pasta. In the season 2 teaser, he is seen riding a moped on the countryside with his friend Arnold (Eric Wareheim).

Aside from starring in the series, Ansari created "Master of None" with Alan Yang ("Parks and Recreation"). Both of them also serve as executive producers of the show along with Mike Schur ("Parks and Recreation"), Dave Becky ("Louie") and David Miner ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt").

The first season of "Master of None" also stars H. Jon Benjamin, Lena Waithe, Noël Wells and Kelvin Yu. The show is produced by Universal Television as well as 3 Arts Entertainment for Netflix.

Ansari and Yang won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for the season 1 episode "Parents." The series was also nominated for three more Emmy categories, while Ansari earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

"Master of None" season 2 is scheduled to premiere on May 12 on Netflix.
