'MasterChef Junior' Season 4 Finale: Two 9-Year-Old Chefs Battle it Out to Lift the 'MasterChef Junior' Trophy
"MasterChef Junior" will finally crown a female winner after four seasons, and it is a battle between 9-year-olds Addison Osta Smith and Avery Kyle.
Voting poll results in Zap2It show that it is Addison who's leading the fan votes. According to the website, the River Forest, Illinois-native is described as a fierce competitor in the "MasterChef" kitchen. Judge Christina Tosi said that Addison has been in the top of the leaderboard from the start of the competition, showcasing her elevated Midwest dishes and Asian-flared entrees. "Addison has been in the Top 3 and won more challenges than anyone else in the competition," the judge said in Addison's montage.
Meanwhile, Avery has an edge over Addison since the pig-tailed young chef also enjoys hunting alligators that she uses when cooking dinner. "My first time hunting a gator, I shot him but then I felt really bad for some reason," Avery told Fox News. The video showing Avery's first alligator hunt was included in the audition tape that was sent to the "MasterChef" producers, and according to the website, the producers were wowed by her "larger-than-life" personality.

The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-native, who loves to cook alligators, is said to be writing her own cookbook already. What fans don't know is that Avery is also a straight-A fourth-grader, who wants to be a lawyer. If given the chance, the kiddie chef would also like to do commercials or appear in movies. Avery already has a background in acting since the website said that she had performed in several school plays.
In other news, TV By The Numbers said that "MasterChef Junior" got its season's best in ratings last Friday for the 18-49 demographic. The semifinals of the fourth season, where Addison and Avery were named the Top 2 chefs, gathered 4.87 million viewers.
