The winning Mega Millions numbers last Just 29, Friday are 11, 16, 19, 31, 48. The gold ball was 4 and Megaplier is 5x. Since no one won the jackpot, the total winning prize is $25 million with a cash option of $17 million. The next drawing will be on Aug. 2, 2016, Tuesday, 11 p.m. ET.

One ticketholder in New Jersey matched all five white balls in the last Mega Millions drawing. Their $1 million winnings was increased 5x to $5 million because they played the Megaplier option, MLive reported. Two tickets in Michigan won $2,500 for matching four white balls and for getting the Megaplier option. The state had at least 20,000 tickets that won at least $2 last week.

New Jersey $5 Million Mega Millions Winner
The winning Mega Millions $5 million ticket was apparently sold at The Gift Horse in New Jersey. According to NJ.com, the store is an outlet that sells cards on Stelton Roadin Piscataway. The ticketholder opted for the Megaplier option which multiplied his winnings of $1 million to $5 million after matching all white balls.

How to Win Mega Millions
Each Mega Millions ticket costs $1. For those who opt to play for the Megaplier, it will cost another $1. The lottery is played in 44 states in the US including the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia. To win the jackpot, the player must match all five white balls that are drawn from a pool of balls numbered through 1 to 75. They must also match the Mega ball or the yellow ball from a set of balls numbered 1 to 15.

How to Claim Mega Millions Jackpot Prize
According to the official website, Mega Millions grand prize winners may choose either the cash option or the annuity. The cash option is a one-time payment where players can get the prize in one go. Meanwhile, the Mega Millions annuity option is paid out in 30 annual payments. Each subsequent payment after the first one will be 5 percent bigger than the previous one.
