Meghan Markle Engagement News: Possible Wedding Gown Designs Revealed; Royal Marriage Expected to be Most Influential
The possible gown designs for Meghan Markle's wedding dress have been revealed by a designer approached by the Royal Family. Meanwhile, Meghan and Prince Harry's engagement is anticipated to become one of the most influential in the world.
The Royal Family has approached Inbal Dror as one of the designers that could dress Meghan on her wedding day this coming May 19, TMZ confirmed. Although the decision to choose Inbal has yet to be confirmed, the designer shared the three sketches she gave to the Royal Family for review.
Inbal's designs are body-hugging, a contrast to Kate Middleton's a-line wedding gown on her royal wedding. All three also have long sleeves, since it's tradition for royal brides to have their arms covered on their wedding day.
The price tag on Inbal designs ranges from $8,000 to $10,000. But if the Royal Family chooses Inbal, the dress she will make for Meghan could be much more expensive since Kate's dress was valued at almost $500,000.
Meanwhile, Meghan and Prince Harry's marriage is expected to be one of the most influential yet because of both of their backgrounds.
Richard Fitzwilliams, the royal commentator, said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that Meghan is many things that have been welcomed by everyone, especially by the Royal Family.
"With Meghan, she's American, she's divorced, she's mixed race, she's an actress and an activist," Richard stated. The commentator also took note that when Meghan announced that she'll leave her acting career, she described it as "change."
Aside from that, Richard notes that their marriage is "based on love" and that Harry's popularity only helped the coming of Meghan into the Royal Family.
"That will mean that she and Harry will make one of the world's most influential and successful partnerships, using the fact that they're members of the royal family for charitable purposes," Richard revealed.
