Megyn Kelly Ratings Latest News: 'Today' Host Calls Out Bill O'Reilly and Dances in Bid to Boost Numbers

Megyn Kelly's "Today" show segment might be desperate for a rating boost. In its latest bid to attract viewers, Kelly fired at her former FOX co-anchor Bill O'Reilly and also unexpectedly danced with her live audience.

Kelly took shots at O'Reilly on her show Monday following reports that he settled one of his sexual harassment lawsuits for $32 million. Kelly told viewers that she complained about O'Reilly's behavior to FOX executives despite the latter professing his innocence.

The "Today" host revealed she emailed two FOX presidents, Bill Shine and Jack Abernethy, in November 2016 about O'Reilly. Kelly stated that her former co-anchor was in the habit of shaming women who might disgrace the network.

Kelly, who left FOX for NBC in January, also lodged harassment complaints against FOX CEO Roger Ailes, who died in May 2017. O'Reilly dismissed her claims by attacking Kelly on the air instead of siding with her. The host reminded "Today" viewers on Monday that this disrespect towards women is everywhere but FOX News continue to turn a blind eye.

"At Fox News, the media relations chief, Irina Briganti, is known for her vindictiveness," Kelly stated. "To this day she pushes negative articles on certain Ailes accusers, like the one you are looking at right now."

Meanwhile, last Friday found Kelly dancing with her live audience on "Today." The host also encouraged her guest Hoda Kotb to dance. It left viewers baffled by the stunt as it was unexpected from the fearless and no-nonsense Kelly. One can only surmise that she did it for the numbers.

It's no secret that Kelly's segment on "Today" has been dropping in the ratings. The show is also reportedly having problems booking celebrities because Kelly already offended some of her guests.

NBC, however, denied reports that there are problems with Kelly's show. The network is confident this hiccup in Kelly's transition from FOX to NBC is only temporary.
