Meizu launched flagship smartphone Pro 5 in China
Last Wednesday, Chinese consumer electronics company Meizu officially launched in China their latest flagship smartphone called the Meizu Pro 5. And it's quite a promising one as reports say that it is being flaunted as the 'premium' device and most advanced smartphone by the company. According to NDTV Gadgets, the Pro 5 is really the "top-of-the-line product for the Chinese manufacturer" as it offers specifications that will really impress any buyer who comes across it.
International Business Times detailed the specifications saying that the handset sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display which features a 1080 x 1920 pixel screen resolution. It comes in an all-metal design with a 2.5D curved glass. Below the screen is a single button that functions as the Home and Back button and is also used as fingerprint scanner. A surprising thing under its hood is a processor from Samsung instead of Qualcomm, MediaTek or Intel. It is equipped with the Exynos 7420 chipset which is the same chip that power the flagship Samsung Galaxy S6 and the phablet Galaxy Note 5. Techno Buffalo noted that this means the Pro 5 will have quality performance just like the S6.
The site also reported that other features will depend on how the user configures the device. They can opt for a 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage or a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Its software out of the box is Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme 5 UI. It will feature a 21.16-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX 230 CMOS sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera. NDTV Gadget reviewed that the camera is great during daylight outdoors but not so good indoors as it produces a lot of noise in the image.
Furthermore, the graphics will be provided by a Mali T760MP8 at 770MHz, which is known to be a top performer among SoCs this year, and the smartphone will support dual-SIM and USB-C. Sources say that the Meizu Pro 5 will be available for sale on Oct. 12 in China.
