Meizu MX5 Pro Plus Specs, Release Date: High-End Android Flagship Appears Once More in Alleged Leaked Images
Meizu's upcoming flagship phablet, the MX5 Pro Plus, is turning out to be one of the worst kept secrets in the company's budding history in the industry. However, the Chinese manufacturer definitely has nothing to be ashamed of about its upcoming smartphone.
According to a report by GSM Arena, several alleged images of the Meizu phone have been leaked online, and some specs were unveiled as well.
In the report, the device will boast a whopping 6-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution, which is pretty huge even for a phablet. However, considering the phone's tag, Pro Plus, it means it is bigger and better than the current flagship, the MX5, which 'only' has a 5.5-inch 1080p screen.
In addition, the device will also pack some serious specs including a 20.7MP primary camera, probably made by Sony just like most of its recent devices, as well as an Exynos 7420 chipset, with 4GB of RAM.
In case you are wondering why that chipset type sounds familiar, that's because it is the same SoC that runs on Samsung's Galaxy S6 and its siblings, as well as the Galaxy Note 5, which was announced just last week.
The Chinese manufacturer is definitely stepping it up in releasing new devices in the market. Just like other successful companies in the mobile industry, Meizu unveils devices that span a range of level's in the market.
In January this year, the manufacturer announced the Meizu m1 note, which is a midrange phablet that boasts a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, MediaTek SoC, 2GB of RAM and 13MP primary camera.
Fast-forward to June and the m2 note was made official, getting slightly better specs and design, and getting the option to make the device storage expandable.
A couple of weeks ago, the Meizu m2 was unveiled, and it boasts entry-level specs at a very affordable price tag. And of course, almost everyone familiar with the company already knows about the MX5 flagship.
