At 61 years old, Mel Gibson is currently enjoying the fruit of his labor in his long career, with a net worth of over $400 million.

According to Celebrity Networth, the Australian/American actor, director and producer is worth a total of $425 million, thanks to his list of successful movies and other works. In 1984, Gibson scored his first American film "The River." Three years later, the American household identified him as one of the actors to watch out for after appearing in "Lethal Weapon."

Gibson then tried his luck in directing in the 1990s. His first film as a director was "The Man Without a Face." In 1995, Gibson directed, produced, and starred in "Braveheart," where he bagged a total of two Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

In 2004, he directed "The Passion of the Christ," a highly successful and controversial biblical drama film. Two years later, his next project was "Apocalypto," an action-adventure film. Gibson then took a long hiatus from directing. When he returned with "Hacksaw Ridge" in 2016, he earned his second Academy Award nomination for Best Director.

According to reports, at least four of Gibson's movies netted him around $25 million each. These include Lethal Weapon 4 (1998), The Patriot (2000), We Were Soldiers (2002) and Signs (2002). "Passion of the Christ" alone brought him $210 million of earnings.

Before he divorced his wife, Robyn Moore, in 2009, his net worth was reportedly somewhere around $850 million. Gibson's properties include an $11.5 million Malibu house, a 400-acre ranch in Costa Rica valued at $26.0 million and his Mago Island in Fiji with an estimated worth of $15.0 million. He also owns a $210,800 Mercedes CLS 500 car.

Gibson has seven children with Moore. He also has a daughter with Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva. Currently, the actor is in a relationship with Rosalind Ross, who is a former champion equestrian vaulter. She recently gave birth to their first child together.
