Melissa McCarthy Wishes She Was 'Magically a Size 6'

Melissa McCarthy may have found herself in newfound stardom after "Bridesmaids" and "Mike and Molly," but that doesn't mean she is completely happy with her life. The actress has revealed that at times she wishes she was "just magically a size 6 and I never had to give it a single thought."

Yet for all of those wishes, McCarthy has said she is "weirdly healthy, so I don't beat myself up about it- it wouldn't help, and I don't want to pass that on to my girls," she told Good Housekeeping. The actresses' daughters, Vivian and Georgette, keep McCarthy busy and quite active.

Her wish of being a size 6 also makes her that much more relatable to the public at large, and women in particular.

"Pretty much everyone I know, no matter what size, is trying some system [of weight loss]. Even when someone gets to looking like she should be so proud of herself, instead she's like, 'I could be another three pounds less; I could be a little taller and have bigger lips,'" McCarthy added.

"Where does it end? You just have to say, 'It's pretty [darn] good. I am right here at the moment and I'm OK with it. I've got other things to think about,'" she noted.

McCarthy blew audiences away with her comedy and acting ability in "Bridesmaids," even winning an Oscar nomination for her work. Though many were unsure whether a "larger" woman could actually win, McCarthy had no problem winning over audiences and taking home much respect for her work.

She is already at work on several new projects, including "This is 40," a sequel to the Judd Apatow hit "Knocked Up," which debuts later this year. Next up, she'll work with Jason Bateman and Sandra Bullock in two different films premiering next year.

McCarthy is also launching a clothing line for plus-size women.

"I've been so busy this past year that I haven't been able to [launch it yet]," she told Entertainment Weekly. "We're getting closer. I'm definitely excited!"
