Memphis Grizzles vs. Los Angeles Clippers Preview: Grizzlies, Clips Battle For More Superior Playoff Berth

The Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers will be gunning to keep their playoff spots as they play against each other for the third time this season.

The said game will be taking place on Tuesday, April 12th, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Both teams hold one victory apiece over the other, with the Clippers drawing first blood in their first encounter last November 9th at home, via a narrow 94-92 final score.

It was shooting guard JJ Redick's last-minute heroics, dropping six straight points in the final 55 seconds of the game. He ended the night with 16 points, shooting 4 out of 8 from the field, through 30 minutes of playing time.

But it was big man Blake Griffin who dropped the most numbers for their team, as he ended the game with 24 points, 12 rebounds and two assist, shooting 9 out of 19 from the field, through 37 minutes of playing time.

Back then, the Clippers were also ending their two-game losing streak through the victory against the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies were able to bounce back in their second game last March 19th at the FedExForum in Memphis, as they ended the contest with a final score of 113-102.

It was forward Zach Randolph's contributions that helped his team achieve the win, finishing the night with a triple-double. He scored 28 points, along with 11 rebounds, and ten assists, shooting 10 out of 19 from the field, through 35 minutes of playing time.

Veteran shooting guard Tony Allen also helped out big, scoring 22 points, along with four rebounds, shooting 7 out of 10 from the field, through 31 minutes of playing time. In the said game, the Grizzlies also outrebounded the Clippers with a total of 44, as opposed to the latter's 30.

In terms of offensive rebounds, Memphis grabbed a total of 18, while Los Angeles was only able to pull down four.

The number six-ranked Grizzlies hold a record of 42-38, while the fourth-seeded Clippers hold a record of 52-28.
