Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: New Sighting Ignites Dating Rumors, Pair to Reunite in Dance on Dec. 17

Fans of "Dancing With the Stars" Season 18 champions Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were disappointed when the two were not on the show's latest season finale for one last dance. However, the pair is set to reunite once again on the dance floor to perform in "Sway: A Dance Trilogy." They are expected to perform a few chosen routines from their run on DWTS.

In an interview with People, Maks said, "Meryl and I are going to reproduce a couple of our routines and give people a little Maks and Meryl magic—even if it's just for a day."

The pro dancer also shared some info about their relationship.

"We aren't dating, and I don't think we will. She is very special. I care very deeply for Meryl. Our friendship is where it will be for many years. She is awesome to spend time with," he explained.

This is not the first time that Maks or Meryl has denied their relationship, but fans of the pair— affectionately referred to as Maksyl— are speculating that they are dating but are choosing to keep their relationship private.

Avid Maksyl fans kbnello and trocoloca on Tumblr have gotten numerous photos of the pair as they have been seen and photographed on different locations in New York City. On Dec. 4, they were spotted at Ariana Restaurant and they even posed for a picture, which was then uploaded to the restaurant's official Twitter account. On the same day, Meryl posted a short video of their rehearsal on her Instagram account. Moreover, Maks and Meryl were also seen at London Jewelers to support Champions for Charity.

Fans of the pair can watch Maks and Meryl perform their winning moves on "Sway: A Dance Trilogy" on Dec. 17 in Westbury, New York.
