Miami is staring at a two-game losing streak and no team wants to add another one in the second half of the season. But they are facing a stiff climb against the Eagles who will be playing at home. These Dolphins did not only lose their previous games, they also lost big. It can be pretty difficult at this point to think about reaching the playoffs, but winning against Philadelphia should give them some hope at least.
It's actually disappointing for Dolphins fans to see this kind of season when the team was earlier touted to have the best defense in the league. By the looks of it, they've become quite the opposite, ranking 31st in the league in the defensive end, allowing 142 rushing yards per game.
The Eagles, on the other hand, are becoming one of the league's elite squads, especially after winning another one in a squeaker against the Cowboys last week. They obviously come in as favorites in this Sunday matchup, but a Dolphins team desperate to score a victory is still a dangerous challenge. There was a point in the season when they were inconsistent and couldn't pull through a string of victories, but this one is a game they need to capitalize should they want to secure a better position in their division.
History wise, Philly is expected to win this one though, with 5-0 ATS and 4-1 SU in the both teams' previous five matchups.
