Miami Heat NBA 2015 News, Rumors: Dwayne Wade Injury Affects Team's Performance
Dwayne Wade got injured during the third quarter of the team's game against Milwaukee Bucks, which affected their performance.
The Heat had a small lead before Wade was out but after his injury, team ended up losing 102-109. Reports say that Wade will be under treatment for several weeks due to his hamstring injury. This means that he will not be able to join the games, which is bad news for the team.
The Heat is not doing well this season and Wade's absence can affect their chances of getting into the playoffs. Wade is the number one scorer among all positions in the fourth quarter of the entire league. The team usually struggles with its game in the fourth quarter and if Wade is out of the equation, it may result to more disadvantages.
On Tuesday, the point guard left the court without talking to the press people due to his frustration. The team's coach Erik Spoelstra said that Wade is not the only one who is frustrated but the rest of the team are as well.
Heat power forward Chris Bosh said that the injuries his teammates gained from Luol Deng, Chris Andersen to Wade affected the team mentally. Bosh was asked if the team is "snake bitten," which meant "unlucky," he answered they were "bit by something."
Bosh refused to brand it as a snake bite but he insisted that the team is struggling. The discouraging part is they were not given the chance to showcase their full potential as a group. The power forward added that every time that team regains strength there is an immediate "drawback."
This is not the first time Wade attained leg injuries. The athlete was absent on two different occasions this season due to the same problem.
On Wednesday, Wade's condition was evaluated and the Heat is reportedly prepared to acquire Tyler Johnson for a 10-day agreement. Reports say that Johnson will join the team on Thursday.
Miami Heat will face the Dallas Mavericks for a game on Jan. 30.
