On the other hand, Indiana is second in the Central Division and despite being well behind the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Pacers are simply trying to hold off their division rivals, the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons, as the latter part of the season goes on.
This is their final clash of the season after already meeting three times earlier in the year and the Pacers currently hold a 2-1 series advantage over the Heat.
In the first game, the Pacers took a 90-87 victory thanks to a big second quarter that erased a double-digit lead.
Indiana kept their composure and bounced back from being 10 points down in the first quarter to tie things up by half-time.
They then did enough to get a three-point win to impress the home crowd.
In the next game, the Pacers made a more dominant statement by beating the Heat 96-83 at home thanks to impressive play from Monta Ellis.
The shooting guard had 24 points and six assists in the win, while Chris Bosh had 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Heat.
In the third game, the Heat took the win in an overtime clash as they went on to win 103-100.
In this battle, the Heat will try to even the series while the Pacers are hoping to clinch the season match-up.
