The Heat have been great so far this year. They appear to all be healthy and their stars are all clicking at the right time.
At the moment they are at 4-3 and are second in the Southeast Division in the Eastern Conference. They are currently two games behind the Atlanta Hawks but it is still relatively early in the season so they have a lot of time to catch-up in the season.
The Heat won their last game as they thrashed the Toronto Raptors to show that they still have what it takes to topple big teams who made the playoffs last year.
However, they should not expect things to be easy even if they're facing an embattled Lakers squad.
Only at 1-5 this season, the Lakers are clearly struggling. Luckily for them, injuries have hampered the progression of the Sacramento Kings, resulting in the Lakers being spared from the last spot in the Pacific Division in the West.
They got their first win against the Brooklyn Nets but failed to make it back-to-back when they played the New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden.
With still a young team to work with and an aging leader in Kobe Bryant, the Lakers still have a long way to go before they can reclaim their big status, but things are certainly moving towards the right direction.
And at this stage, there is no way to go but up for the franchise - and a win over the Heat may be all they need.
