Miami Heat vs Oklahoma City Thunder Live Stream Free: Watch Online NBA Basketball (TNT TV Start Time)
The Miami Heat will face off against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night in a massive game in the NBA. These two teams are undoubtedly two of the best in the league this year, and most are touting one of these teams to take the title this season.
Tonight's big game will see Russell Westbrook made his comeback for the Thunder, and things will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the TNT network, or watched online through free live stream (details below).
The big news in the build up to tonight's game is that Thunder point guard, Russell Westbrook, has been cleared to play today. That will be a massive boost for the Thunder, and they will be hoping he can lead the home team to victory at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City tonight.
The decision that Westbrook would play was made only a few hours prior to tip off in tonight's game.
The point guard has missed a massive 27 games since having a procedure just after Christmas on Dec. 27. He required more extensive treatment to help him tackle the swelling in his injured right knee, and the team scheduled his third operation in just nine months for late December 2013, hoping he would recover well in time for the Playoffs, where he will be needed most.
Coach Scott Brooks reported that Westbrook completed a full practice on Wednesday – which was the first time he has done so since his surgery. Brooks confirmed that Westbrook looked good, and even though completing just one full practice before making a comeback might seem rushed in some people's eyes, the team has decided their star player is ready.
Westbrook of course tore the lateral meniscus in the knee during the postseason last April. The three time NBA All-Star was forced to undergo an operation after that injury, and he followed that up with a second procedure in October to remove a loose stitch. However, swelling remained and a third procedure was deemed necessary.
Prior to Westbrook's absence Oklahoma were 23-5, and during his absence they have maintained healthy form, going a slightly worse but still impressive 20-7. They come into tonight's game on 43-12, where as the traveling Miami Heat are currently 38-14.
