Miami Heat vs. Sacramento Kings Preview: Heat Looking to Bounce Back From Loss Against Noncontending Kings

The fourth-seeded Miami Heat will be looking to erase the stigma of their recent loss as they take on the number eleven-ranked Sacramento Kings for the second time this season.

The said game will be taking place on Friday, April 1st, at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento.

The first time both teams met was last November 19th, where the Heat emerged victorious with a final score of 116-109. In the said contest, it was the duo of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh that provided the firepower for the team that eventually led to their victory.

Wade ended the night with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals, shooting 10 out of 23 from the field, through 31 minutes of playing time. Bosh, meanwhile, scored 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists, shooting 8 out of 12 from the field, through 34 minutes of playing time.

Coming into the said game, the Miami Heat are fresh off a loss against the cellar-dwelling Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday. The Purple and Gold team was able to come out with a win, with a final score of 102-100 in overtime.

According to Wade, the main reason why they lost was because of the lack of respect they showed towards the Lakers.

"It was just total disrespect to the opponents tonight. Those guys are good players, and you have to play them the same way you play an opponent you fear," Wade said in an NBA.com report. "We didn't do that, and that's why they got the win."

Prior to their loss to the Lakers, the Heat won four of their previous five games, against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New Orleans Pelicans, the San Antonio Spurs, the Orlando Magic, and the Brooklyn Nets, respectively.

The Kings, on the other hand, are coming off a victory against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. Miami holds a win-loss slate of 43-31, while Sacramento banners a win-loss slate of 30-45.
