Michael Lohan DNA Confirms Lovechild; Maury Povich Grills Reality Star (VIDEO)
Michael Lohan recently appeared on talk show host Trisha Goddard's U.S. TV series where he received the shocking results from a recent paternity test.
The troubled father of four, whose children include actress Lindsay Lohan, learned that he is the father of 17-year-old Ashley- a daughter he conceived in 1995 while still married to his ex-wife Dina. Their appearance on "Trisha Goddard" marked their first ever meeting, according to TMZ.com.
Lohan, 52, sat alongside Ashley and her mother Kristi Horn as the paternity test results were read. Kristi had claimed that he was Ashley's biological father for years although he reportedly denied her requests to pay child support.
Lohan also sat down for a tell-all interview with renowned talk show host Maury Povich in which he reportedly explained his reasons for refusing to pay child support for Ashley. In one segment, Povich is seen confronting a stunned Lohan about alleged inconsistencies regarding Ashley's claims that he previously acknowledged her as his daughter before later denying her.
Horn, who sat between a tense Lohan and Ashley on Goddard's talk show, burst into tears as the results were read.
"Michael is Ashley's father!" a stunned Goddard told the audience. Lohan eventually approached his new daughter with a hug, although she rejected his gesture.
"No! No! No!" the emotional teen screamed, to which Lohan explained "I just want to hug you."
"This is the first time I've met you, I'm sorry but I'm not sure," Ashley told Lohan.
Prior to Lohan joining the mother and daughter on stage, Ashley, who is evidently up to date with the seemingly never-ending Lohan family drama, revealed that she wants no part in the chaos.
"I don't want to be part of the Lohan trainwreck!" she said.
Ashley is now a half sister to Lindsay, 26; Ali, 18; Michael, 24 and Cody, 21 and the five siblings will soon be joined by another as Lohan is currently expecting a sixth child with his 29-year-old girlfriend Kate Major.
The paternity test result is among a series of scandals that the family has faced over the past year, including Lohan's arrest and Lindsay's violent brawl with Dina.
Lohan was arrested for domestic violence in 2011 following a domestic dispute with Major, and Lindsay sustained minor injuries in the brawl against Dina. Lindsay and Dina have since made up, although the "Mean Girls" actress' various legal woes are still ongoing.
